How Much Does A Home Gym Cost In The UK?

Quick answer

On our prices on 9 October 2026, a home gym from our range cost £402.94 for a 2 × 2 m dumbbell corner, £778.89 for a 3 × 3 m spare room, £1,310.36 for a single garage with a barbell and £2,929.96 for a double garage with a Concept2 RowErg, each delivered free to the UK mainland. The rubber floor was 18% to 24% of each total.

Rubber floor tiles, a hex dumbbell set on a rack and an EZ bar with tri-grip plates

A home gym from our range cost between £402.94 and £2,929.96 on 9 October 2026, depending on the space and what goes in it. The low end is a dumbbell set, a flat bench and a rubber floor for a 2 × 2 m corner. The top is a double garage with dumbbells, a barbell, bumper plates and a Concept2 RowErg. All four example kits cost more than £300 and so were delivered free to the UK mainland. The floor came to between 18% and 24% of each total.

We sell everything in these kits. They don't include a squat or power rack, which we don't sell. Prices change, so the product cards show today's.

Prices include VAT. The weights in each kit are examples to show what a kit costs, not advice on what to lift. A qualified trainer can help you choose, and the dumbbell sets guide lists every range we sell. The floors follow the uses our flooring page lists: 15mm for general home gyms and moderate dumbbell training, and 20mm for free-weight areas and heavier dumbbells. What equipment you need for a home gym explains the order to buy in and what fits each space.

What's in each kit?

Each table below lists the items, their prices on 9 October 2026 and the total. Every kit weighs over 100kg, so it comes on a pallet and is unloaded at the kerb. Every kit costs over £300, so delivery to the UK mainland is free.

Corner of a room, 2 × 2 m

Item Price on 9 October 2026
15mm rubber tiles, 4 at £20.99 £83.96
2.5kg–15kg hex dumbbell set: 6 pairs on a 6-tier A-frame rack £239.99
Flat weight bench £78.99
Total, delivered free £402.94

The rack stands on 59 × 36cm and the bench is 130 × 50cm, so both fit on the four tiles. The set alone is 105kg of dumbbells, which already puts the order on a pallet.

Six pairs of rubber hex dumbbells, 2.5kg to 15kg, on a black 6-tier A-frame rack
The corner kit's dumbbells: the 2.5kg–15kg set on its 6-tier A-frame rack.

Spare room, 3 × 3 m

Item Price on 9 October 2026
15mm rubber tiles, 9 at £20.99 £188.91
5kg–30kg hex dumbbell set: 6 pairs on a 6-tier A-frame rack £399.99
Adjustable weight bench £189.99
Total, delivered free £778.89

Nine tiles is one short of the first bulk tier. Ten 15mm tiles came to £199.50 after the 5% discount on 9 October 2026, which is £10.59 more than nine.

Single garage, 2.5 × 5 m

Item Price on 9 October 2026
20mm rubber tiles, 13 at £22.80 after the 5% bulk discount £296.40
2.5kg–30kg hex dumbbell set: 8 pairs on a 111cm 3-tier rack £549.99
Adjustable weight bench £189.99
7ft Olympic bar, 20kg, with collars £79.99
Cast iron plates, 100kg set: 5, 10, 15 and 20kg pairs £193.99
Total, delivered free £1,310.36

The floor is 12.5 m², so it takes 13 tiles before any spares for cuts. The bar is 220cm long, so it goes lengthways in a 2.5 m-wide garage. There's no rack for it in the kit, because we don't sell racks.

Eight pairs of rubber hex dumbbells on a 111cm 3-tier rack, light pairs on the top shelf
The single garage kit's dumbbells: the 2.5kg–30kg set, 8 pairs, on its 111cm 3-tier rack.

Double garage, 5 × 5 m

Item Price on 9 October 2026
20mm rubber tiles, 25 at £21.60 after the 10% bulk discount £540.00
2.5kg–30kg hex dumbbell set: 12 pairs on a 153cm 3-tier rack £829.99
Adjustable weight bench £189.99
7ft Olympic bar, 20kg, with collars £79.99
Colour bumper plates, 100kg set: 5, 10, 15 and 20kg pairs £299.99
Concept2 RowErg, standard legs £990.00
Total, delivered free £2,929.96

Without the RowErg, the kit came to £1,939.96 on 9 October 2026. The RowErg is supplied direct from Concept2. On the same day, 100kg of plates cost £193.99 in cast iron and £299.99 as colour bumpers, and the bumper product page describes them as built for repeated dropping. If you'll drop a loaded bar, our flooring page lists 30mm for heavy strength training and higher-impact lifting. Twenty-five 30mm tiles came to £765.00 after the 10% discount, £225.00 more than 20mm.

How much does the flooring cost?

One tile covers 1 m², so the floor costs the tile price times the area, less any bulk discount. On 9 October 2026 a black tile cost £17.99 at 10mm, £20.99 at 15mm, £23.99 at 20mm and £33.99 at 30mm. 40mm tiles, at £44.99, were out of stock that day. From 10 tiles, a bulk discount comes off automatically in the basket.

Floor totals on 9 October 2026, from our basket after any bulk discount:

Example space Tiles 10mm 15mm 20mm 30mm
Corner, 2 × 2 m 4, no discount £71.96 £83.96 £95.96 £135.96
Spare room, 3 × 3 m 9, no discount £161.91 £188.91 £215.91 £305.91
Single garage, 2.5 × 5 m 13, 5% off £222.30 £259.35 £296.40 £419.90
Double garage, 5 × 5 m 25, 10% off £405.00 £472.50 £540.00 £765.00
  • Bulk tiers: 5% off from 10 tiles, 10% from 25, 15% from 50, 20% from 100 and 25% from 200. Tiles of every thickness and both colours count together, and there's no code to enter.
  • White fleck tiles cost £1 more per tile than black at 10mm to 30mm on 9 October 2026.
  • Spares for cuts aren't included. These counts cover the floor area only; how many gym floor tiles you need explains how to count for your room.
  • On its own, a floor under £300 pays delivery by weight. For example, 4 × 15mm tiles (about 54kg) cost £83.96 plus £19.99 delivery, and 9 × 15mm tiles (about 122kg, so a pallet) cost £188.91 plus £59.99, at prices on 9 October 2026.

To choose the thickness, see how thick gym flooring should be. The rubber gym flooring collection shows today's prices.

How is delivery charged?

Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over £300. Orders under £300 pay one charge for the whole order, set by its total weight: from £7.99 up to 20kg to £59.99 for a pallet over 100kg. Each of our fixed dumbbell sets is over 100kg on its own, so it pays the pallet charge unless the order is over £300. Buying the floor, weights and bench in one order can take it past £300 and make delivery free, as in all four kits.

Total weight of an order under £300 Delivery
Up to 20kg £7.99
Up to 40kg £13.99
Up to 60kg £19.99
Up to 80kg £25.99
Up to 100kg £31.99
Over 100kg, on a pallet £59.99

Worked example, on prices on 9 October 2026. The 2.5kg–15kg dumbbell set costs £239.99 and comes on a pallet, so on its own it costs £299.98 delivered. Add the £78.99 flat bench and the order is £318.98, delivered free, so the bench adds £19.00 to what you pay. Bought as three separate orders, the corner kit would pay £87.97 in delivery: £19.99 for the tiles, £59.99 for the set and £7.99 for the bench (about 15kg).

  • Pallets come on a rigid lorry with a tail-lift and are unloaded at the kerb, onto a solid surface, not over gravel or up steps, so someone needs to be in. You can ask for a smaller 7.5-tonne vehicle.
  • Timing. Orders placed before 8am on a working day are dispatched that day, and later orders the next working day. Pallets typically arrive 2 working days after dispatch and parcels the next working day, or around 5 working days to the Scottish Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland. These are courier estimates and can't be guaranteed.

Full terms are on our delivery information page.

Should you buy the floor or the weights first?

If you can, buy them in one order: an order over £300 is delivered free to the UK mainland. Bought separately, a small floor and a dumbbell set each pay their own delivery: for the corner kit, £19.99 for the tiles and £59.99 for the set on 9 October 2026. Having the tiles from the start also means you lay the floor before the rack is built and loaded. Home gym equipment lists the kit in that order, floor first.

What do the kits leave out?

The kits leave out a rack for the barbell, plate storage, edge ramps, connectors, assembly tools, spare tiles and fitting. We don't sell racks, rigs or plate storage. We sell the ramps, connectors and spanners, and you may already have a knife and a straight edge for cutting tiles.

  • A squat or power rack. To squat or bench press with the bar in the garage kits, you'll need a rack from elsewhere. Our 6ft and 7ft bars have 131cm between the sleeves, so check that against the rack.
  • Plate storage. We don't sell it; budget for somewhere to keep the plates.
  • Edge ramps. If the tiles stop short of a garage door or don't reach a wall, finish the open edge with edge ramps. They're 500mm long; 20mm ramps cost £11.99 each on 9 October 2026, so a 2.5 m door end takes 5 (£59.95) and a 5 m end 10 (£119.90). The garage gym flooring guide explains where they go.
  • Connectors fit 20mm, 30mm and 40mm tiles only: 4 for £1.99 or 100 for £29.99 at prices on 9 October 2026. How to use rubber gym mat connectors explains where they help.
  • 17mm tools for the dumbbell racks. Our 17mm spanner set cost £16.99 on 9 October 2026.
  • Spare tiles for cuts, and a sharp knife and a straight edge to cut them.
  • Fitting. We supply the flooring only. Most customers lay it themselves using our laying guide.

Is there a discount for buying a whole kit?

Tiles get the automatic bulk discount, from 5% off at 10 tiles. There are no discount codes, and no NHS or student discounts. Concept2 machines carry no extra discount when bought together. Delivery is free once an order is over £300 to the UK mainland, which every kit in this guide is.

About this guide

This guide prices kits made only from products we sell, so it recommends our own range. It is based on:

  • prices and stock on our product pages on 9 October 2026, with the bulk-discounted tile totals taken from our basket that day;
  • published sizes from the same pages, and our delivery bands and bulk tiers;
  • our own arithmetic for each kit, which we checked line by line.

Prices change, so the product cards show today's. The kits are examples, not recommendations of what to lift: which weights suit you is a question for a qualified trainer. Last reviewed 9 October 2026.
