General
Please inspect your order upon delivery. Any transit damage, missing items or delivery discrepancies (missing or damaged items) should be reported within 48 hours of delivery, together with photographs of the packaging and product where possible. This enables us to investigate with the courier while evidence is still available.
This requirement does not affect your rights in relation to manufacturing defects covered by your warranty or your statutory rights.
Warranty
All new items are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of order. This means that during the 12-month period we will repair or replace products that have manufacturing defects resulting from faulty materials or workmanship, if they have been under normal use and proper maintenance.
Depending on the circumstances, Equipped Gym Ltd may:
- Exchange the product
- Replace any defective components
- Repair the product
- Offer a refund
The warranty does not cover items subject to wear and tear such as surface oxidation, paint chipping, fabric tears or any damage caused by user error such as negligence, weather, theft, loss or improper cleaning or storage of the product. Products must not be stored outdoors or exposed to prolonged moisture. Unsuitable chemical solutions should not be sprayed directly onto products, as this may damage paint, rubber, ceramic coatings, chrome finishes or promote surface oxidation.
Rubber-coated equipment is supplied with a natural rubber oil residue. This is a standard characteristic of the material and does not constitute a defect. Equipped Gym cannot accept responsibility for damage from failure to remove this residue before use.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect use, misuse, abuse, unauthorised modification or failure to follow care and maintenance procedures. If you are unsure on how to use an item correctly, please contact our customer services via the online contact form or follow our care information below.
Our warranties apply only to the original purchaser, and is not transferable upon sale.
Barbells
Equipped Gym barbells will not be repaired or replaced under warranty if they are used incorrectly. This includes dropping the barbell unloaded or loaded with tri grip or iron plates, dropping the bar onto benches, jammer or spotter arms or pins or the use of the bar for rack pulls. A shock absorbing flooring must be used of over 20mm thickness, no stable matting. It is recommended to lower the bar to the ground in a controlled manner to avoid unnecessary forces on the bar and to use human spotters for safety also. When doing overhead work we always recommend using 30mm thickness shock absorbing flooring along with Equipped Gym bumper plates. Commercial bars subjected to intensive daily use should be inspected regularly, and replaced if signs of structural wear or damage are identified. To avoid rust, chalk should always be cleaned from the knurling and dried from sweat after every use. All barbells are covered for one-year except for negligence, accidents or normal wear and tear. The warranty is not transferable and can only be replaced once meaning the replacement is void from any further warranties.
Weight Plates
Any Equipped Gym weight plates will be covered for one-year against any splitting should they be used correctly. Warranty does not cover any cosmetic flaws/defects which do not affect the use of the plates. If performing Olympic lifts from the floor such as the deadlift then bumper plates is a must over Tri Grip plates and not doing so will void any warranty on tri grip plates. Bumper plates should be used on a gym specific rubber flooring of over 20mm in thickness for general use or 30mm+ for any exercises which involve high impact on the plates such as being dropped from hip height. All plates are covered for one-year except for negligence, accidents or normal wear and tear. The warranty is not transferable.
Rubber Mats
All Equipped Gym rubber mats are covered for one-year against manufacturing defects that affect their normal performance and intended use. This warranty covers issues that prevent the flooring from functioning as expected under normal residential or commercial gym use. Normal wear and tear resulting from regular use is expected and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
As rubber flooring is a heavy-duty product designed for practical use, the warranty does not cover cosmetic changes such as minor wear, scuffs, marks, surface blemishes, fading, or variations in appearance that do not affect performance. It also does not cover damage resulting from misuse, incorrect installation, improper storage, modification, exposure to unsuitable chemicals (including cleaning products) or use outside the product's intended purpose.
As cutting the flooring permanently modifies the product, any mats that have been cut cannot normally be accepted for replacement or refund under this warranty. We therefore recommend thoroughly inspecting all mats before cutting or installing them and contacting us immediately if you believe there is a manufacturing defect.
Dumbbells and Kettlebells
All Equipped Gym kettlebells and dumbbells are covered for one year against manufacturing defects that affect their normal performance and intended use. This warranty covers defects that prevent the equipment from functioning as expected during normal residential or commercial gym use. Normal cosmetic wear and tear resulting from regular use is expected and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
As these products are designed to withstand repeated use, the warranty does not cover cosmetic changes such as scratches, scuffs, paint chips, coating wear, dents, or other superficial marks that do not affect the product's structural integrity or safe use. Minor surface oxidation (surface rust) may also occur over time, particularly where protective coatings have become worn or damaged, or where products are exposed to moisture or humid environments. This is considered normal wear and is not covered under this warranty.
Rubber-coated equipment is supplied with a natural rubber oil residue. This is a standard characteristic of the material and does not constitute a defect. Equipped Gym cannot accept responsibility for damage from failure to remove this residue before use.
The warranty also does not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, dropping onto unsuitable surfaces, improper storage, unauthorised modification, exposure to unsuitable chemicals, or use outside the product's intended purpose.
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law. To obtain warranty service, please use our online contact form including full details of the issue including picture/videos if possible.
