A written guarantee is binding on the person offering it and must make clear that it does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights.

Equipped Gym Product Warranty

General Information

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Any visible transit damage, missing items or delivery discrepancies should be reported within 48 hours of delivery, together with photographs of the packaging and product where possible. Reporting delivery issues promptly enables us to investigate with the courier while the relevant evidence is still available.

Failure to report a delivery issue within 48 hours does not remove your statutory rights or prevent you from reporting a manufacturing defect covered by the applicable product warranty.

General Warranty

Unless a longer product-specific warranty is stated below or on the relevant product page, all new Equipped Gym products are covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that prevent the product from performing its intended function during normal use, provided that the product has been correctly assembled, installed, used, stored and maintained.

Where a qualifying defect is confirmed, Equipped Gym may, depending on the circumstances:

• repair the product;
• provide replacement components;
• replace the affected product; or
• provide an appropriate refund.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the fault, the age and condition of the product, the availability of replacement parts and the purchaser’s applicable legal rights.

General Exclusions

The voluntary warranty does not cover:

• normal wear and tear;
• cosmetic changes that do not affect safe operation or normal performance;
• scratches, scuffs, dents, paint chipping, coating wear, fabric wear or surface oxidation;
• accidental damage, misuse, abuse or neglect;
• damage caused by incorrect assembly or installation;
• use outside the product’s intended purpose;
• unauthorised alteration, modification or repair;
• failure to follow supplied instructions or published care guidance;
• damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products or maintenance methods;
• outdoor storage or prolonged exposure to rain, moisture, condensation, direct sunlight or unsuitable temperatures;
• theft, loss or damage caused by third parties;
• commercial use where a product is sold or described as suitable only for residential use.

Use of a third-party cleaning product does not automatically invalidate the warranty. However, damage caused by an unsuitable chemical or cleaning method is not covered.

Products must not be cleaned with bleach, solvents, petroleum-based substances, aggressive degreasers or other chemicals unsuitable for the relevant material or finish.

Rubber Residue on Coated Equipment

Some rubber-coated dumbbells, kettlebells and weight plates may have a light rubber-processing residue when first unpacked.

This is a normal characteristic of the manufacturing process and does not constitute a defect. We recommend wiping the product with a suitable cloth before use.

Damage to surrounding surfaces caused by failing to remove a visible residue before use is not covered by the voluntary warranty.

Original Purchaser

Unless otherwise stated, the voluntary warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable when the product is resold.

Barbells

Equipped Gym barbells are covered by the general one-year warranty against manufacturing defects affecting their structural integrity or normal operation.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by unsuitable use, including:

• dropping an unloaded barbell;
• dropping a barbell fitted with tri-grip, cast-iron or other non-bumper plates;
• dropping the bar onto benches, safety arms, spotter arms, pins or other metal surfaces;
• rack pulls or other movements that repeatedly impact the bar against safety bars or pins;
• use on an unsuitable floor;
• bending caused by excessive, uneven or inappropriate loading;
• corrosion caused by sweat, chalk, moisture or unsuitable storage;
• failure to inspect and maintain a barbell subjected to intensive commercial use.

For lifting where the bar may be dropped, suitable bumper plates and shock-absorbing rubber flooring must be used.

As general guidance:

• use at least 20mm rubber flooring for controlled strength training;
• use at least 30mm rubber flooring for higher-impact Olympic lifting or repeated dropping.

Flooring thickness alone does not guarantee protection. The subfloor, drop height, load, frequency of use and lifting technique must also be suitable.

Chalk and sweat should be removed from the bar shaft and knurling after use to help reduce corrosion.

Any repaired or replacement product remains covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or any longer period required by law.

Weight Plates

Equipped Gym weight plates are covered for one year against manufacturing defects that cause structural splitting or prevent their intended use.

The warranty does not cover:

• ordinary cosmetic variation;
• scratches, scuffs, dents or coating wear;
• surface oxidation;
• damage caused by dropping tri-grip or cast-iron plates;
• damage caused by use on unsuitable flooring;
• damage caused by impact against metal equipment;
• normal wear and tear;
• accidental damage, misuse or neglect.

Tri-grip and cast-iron plates are not designed to be repeatedly dropped during Olympic lifting.

Where plates may be dropped from floor, hip or overhead height, suitable bumper plates must be used with appropriate shock-absorbing gym flooring.

As general guidance:

• use at least 20mm flooring for controlled bumper-plate use;
• use at least 30mm flooring for higher-impact lifting or repeated drops.

The warranty applies only where the product has been used in accordance with its intended purpose.

Rubber Gym Flooring

Five-Year Limited Structural Warranty

Equipped Gym rubber gym flooring tiles are covered for five years from the date of delivery against premature structural cracking caused by a manufacturing defect during normal indoor gym use.

For the purposes of this warranty, structural cracking means a spontaneous crack extending materially through the body of the tile.

It does not include:

• cuts;
• torn or damaged edges;
• impact marks;
• surface deterioration;
• cosmetic granule loss;
• damage caused during installation;
• damage caused by use, misuse or unsuitable conditions.

Where a qualifying defect is confirmed, Equipped Gym may:

• replace the affected tile;
• provide a reasonably equivalent replacement where the original product is unavailable; or
• provide another appropriate remedy.

Replacement flooring may vary slightly in colour, texture, shade or granule appearance because of normal differences between manufacturing batches and recycled rubber materials.

Inspection Before Installation

Please inspect all tiles before they are cut, adhered, altered or permanently installed.

Visible damage, incorrect products, suspected dimensional issues or other readily identifiable concerns should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and before installation.

A tile with a visible or suspected defect should not be installed until Equipped Gym has had a reasonable opportunity to review the issue.

Installing a tile with an obvious defect may affect our ability to assess whether the issue existed before installation.

Dimensional Tolerance

Rubber flooring is manufactured to the dimensional tolerance published on the relevant product page.

Dimensional variation within the published tolerance forms part of the product specification and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Any suspected tile measuring outside the published tolerance should be reported before the tile is:

• cut;
• modified;
• adhered;
• permanently installed; or
• otherwise altered.

Customers are asked to inspect and measure the flooring promptly after delivery and, wherever reasonably possible, within 30 days.

This inspection request does not affect statutory rights where goods are faulty or not as described.

Rubber Flooring Warranty Exclusions

The five-year limited structural warranty does not cover the following.

Normal Wear and Appearance

• ordinary wear and tear;
• surface abrasion or smoothing;
• cosmetic granule shedding;
• minor chipping;
• surface or edge crumbling caused by normal use;
• worn, exposed or unsupported edges;
• scuffs, scratches, cuts, punctures, dents or gouges;
• natural variations in colour, shade, granule distribution, texture or finish;
• gradual fading, discolouration or appearance changes.

Installation and Subfloor Conditions

• incorrect installation;
• failure to follow the installation or acclimatisation guidance;
• installation onto an uneven, unstable, damp, contaminated or otherwise unsuitable subfloor;
• gaps, raised joints, movement or alignment differences arising during installation;
• damage caused while cutting, moving or fitting tiles;
• moisture, damp, hydrostatic pressure or contamination beneath the flooring;
• failure to use suitable connectors, adhesive or perimeter restraint where reasonably required;
• damage resulting from installing tiles with visible defects.

Use and Physical Damage

• dropping weights above the published guidance for the selected flooring thickness;
• repeated excessive or concentrated impact;
• dragging racks, pallets, sleds, benches or heavy equipment across the flooring;
• damage caused by sharp feet, exposed bolts, metal edges, spikes or unsuitable equipment;
• unsupported or exposed tile edges;
• accidental damage, misuse, abuse, neglect or modification;
• use outside the flooring’s stated intended purpose.

Environmental and Chemical Damage

• outdoor use;
• prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light;
• excessive heat;
• unsuitable cleaning products or maintenance methods;
• bleach, solvents, petroleum-based substances, aggressive degreasers, oils or incompatible chemicals;
• steam cleaning, pressure washing or excessive saturation unless expressly approved by Equipped Gym.

Non-Structural Product Characteristics

• natural rubber aroma;
• dimensional or thickness variation within the published tolerance;
• cosmetic blemishes that do not impair normal performance;
• minor surface marks;
• cosmetic granule shedding;
• surface chipping, edge deterioration or crumbling caused by wear, impact, dragging equipment, exposed edges, unsuitable installation or misuse.

Substantial deterioration occurring unusually early and without evidence of normal wear, impact, installation damage, unsuitable conditions or misuse may be assessed to determine whether an underlying manufacturing defect is present.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Use a pH-neutral cleaning product suitable for recycled rubber flooring.

Use of another manufacturer’s cleaning product does not automatically invalidate the warranty. However, damage caused by an unsuitable cleaning product, chemical or maintenance method is not covered.

For best results, use the Equipped Gym Floor Care System and follow the relevant cleaning and maintenance guidance.

Dumbbells and Kettlebells

Equipped Gym dumbbells and kettlebells are covered for one year against manufacturing defects affecting their structural integrity, safe use or normal intended performance.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic changes arising through normal use, including:

• scratches and scuffs;
• paint or coating wear;
• minor dents;
• cosmetic marks;
• surface oxidation;
• fading or discolouration;
• wear to rubber surfaces;
• minor manufacturing variations that do not affect safe use or normal performance.

The warranty also does not cover damage caused by:

• dropping products onto unsuitable surfaces;
• throwing or deliberately abusing the product;
• impact against racks, walls or metal equipment;
• outdoor or damp storage;
• unsuitable chemicals or cleaning methods;
• unauthorised alteration or repair;
• use outside the product’s intended purpose;
• normal wear arising from regular commercial use.

Some rubber-coated products may have a light rubber-processing residue when unpacked. This is a normal characteristic and should be wiped away before use.

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact Equipped Gym through our online contact form and provide:

• your order number or other proof of purchase;
• a clear description of the issue;
• the date the issue was first noticed;
• photographs or videos showing the issue;
• photographs of the complete product or installation where relevant;
• details of how the product was assembled, installed, used, stored and maintained.

We may request further information, arrange an inspection or ask for the affected product or component to be returned for assessment.

Please do not dispose of, repair, modify, remove or replace a product that is the subject of a warranty claim until Equipped Gym has had a reasonable opportunity to assess it.

Where an inspection or return is reasonably required, customers must cooperate with reasonable requests needed to investigate the claim.

The voluntary warranty applies to eligible products originally delivered to addresses in England, Scotland and Wales.

Products delivered to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or locations outside Great Britain are not covered by this voluntary warranty unless coverage has been expressly agreed by Equipped Gym in writing before purchase.

Restricting the geographical scope of the voluntary warranty does not remove any statutory rights that may apply to the original purchase.

Statutory Rights

This voluntary warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

Consumers may have legal rights where goods are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, unfit for their intended purpose or not as described, regardless of whether the voluntary warranty applies or has expired.
