Delivery Costs and the £300 Free Delivery Threshold
Free delivery over £300
Orders of £300 or more (including VAT) get free delivery to the UK mainland. It's applied automatically at checkout. The threshold is based on the value of the goods you keep, so if you later return part of the order and the remainder falls below £300, the delivery charge that would have applied may be deducted from your refund.
Delivery charges under £300
For orders under £300, delivery is charged once per order based on the total weight and size of everything in it. Adding a second item doesn't double the charge, it just moves the order into the next weight band if the combined weight crosses it.
| Total order weight | UK mainland delivery |
|---|---|
| Up to 20kg | £7.99 |
| 20kg to 40kg | £13.99 |
| 40kg to 60kg | £19.99 |
| 60kg to 80kg | £25.99 |
| 80kg to 100kg | £31.99 |
| Over 100kg (pallet) | £59.99 |
Very large orders over about 1,000kg need more than one pallet and are priced at checkout.
The exact charge for your basket is shown under the Add to basket button on each product page and again at checkout before you pay.
Why flooring orders can jump to £59.99
Rubber tiles are heavy, so a modest flooring order can pass 100kg and move from parcel to pallet delivery. For example, six 20mm tiles weigh about 105kg. If your order is close to the pallet threshold but under £300, it's often worth adding a few more tiles for spares, or connectors, ramps or a cleaner, to reach £300 and get delivery free.
"My basket said free delivery but checkout added a charge"
The basket message is based on the goods total. Checkout then applies the full rules. The usual reasons for a charge appearing are:
-
The delivery address is outside the UK mainland (Scottish Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands). Delivery there is priced separately. Contact us for a quote.
-
The order total after a discount has fallen below £300.
-
A payment wallet (such as Apple Pay) has filled in a different address from the one you expected. Check the address shown at checkout.
If none of these apply and you're still seeing a charge on a £300+ UK mainland order, don't pay. Message us through the chat box with a screenshot and we'll put it right or set the order up for you manually.
