Product Warranty
This summarises our warranty. The full terms are on our Warranty page. Our warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
Delivery Damage and Missing Items
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery. Report any visible transit damage, missing items or delivery discrepancies within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the packaging and product where possible. This lets us investigate with the courier while the evidence is still available.
Missing the 48-hour window does not remove your statutory rights or stop you reporting a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty.
How Long Cover Lasts
| Product | Cover |
|---|---|
| Rubber gym flooring tiles | 5 years from delivery, against premature structural cracking caused by a manufacturing defect |
| All other new products (barbells, weight plates, dumbbells, kettlebells and more) | 1 year from delivery, unless a longer period is stated on the product page |
The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and to products delivered to England, Scotland and Wales. Products delivered to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or outside Great Britain are not covered unless agreed in writing before purchase.
What's Covered
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that stop the product working as intended in normal use, provided it has been correctly assembled, installed, used, stored and maintained.
If a defect is confirmed, we may repair the product, supply replacement parts, replace the product, or provide an appropriate refund, depending on the fault, the age and condition of the product, and parts availability.
What's Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic marks that don't affect performance: scratches, scuffs, dents, paint chips, coating wear, surface rust
- Accidental damage, misuse, abuse or neglect
- Incorrect assembly or installation
- Outdoor storage, damp, or exposure to rain, sunlight or extreme temperatures
- Unsuitable cleaning products: bleach, solvents, petroleum-based products or aggressive degreasers
- Unauthorised alterations or repairs
- Commercial use of products sold for home use
Product-Specific Points
Barbells
- Not covered: dropping an unloaded bar, dropping a bar loaded with tri-grip or cast iron plates, or impact on benches, safety arms or pins.
- Bending from excessive or uneven loading is not covered.
- Corrosion from sweat, chalk or damp is not covered.
Weight plates
- Covered for 1 year against defects causing structural splitting.
- Tri-grip and cast iron plates aren't designed to be dropped. Use bumper plates for dropped lifts.
Dumbbells and kettlebells
- Covered for 1 year against defects affecting structure or safe use.
- Cosmetic wear is not covered.
- Rubber-coated products may have a light residue when unpacked. This is normal, not a defect. Wipe it off before use.
Flooring for lifting
- As a guide, use at least 20mm flooring for controlled lifting and at least 30mm for Olympic lifting or repeated drops.
Rubber Flooring
- Inspect before installing. Check all tiles before cutting, gluing or fitting. Report visible damage, wrong products or size concerns before installation, and don't install a tile with an obvious defect.
- Measure promptly. Please measure tiles soon after delivery, ideally within 30 days. Variation within the published tolerance is not a defect.
-
Not covered:
- Surface wear, granule shedding, minor chipping, edge crumbling, or colour and texture variation
- Cuts, punctures and impact marks
- Damage from dragging equipment
- Poor installation or an unsuitable or damp subfloor
- Outdoor use, or direct sunlight or heat
- Steam cleaning or pressure washing
- Excess water trapped under tiles
- Cleaning. Use Dr. Schutz R1000 Daily Cleaner diluted as advised on the bottle, sprayed on and wiped with a microfibre cloth. Keep water to a minimum and avoid string mops, as excess water can seep between tiles and collect underneath.
- Replacements may vary slightly in colour or texture between batches.
