What Thickness of Gym Flooring Do You Need?

Choose flooring for how you train and what sits underneath it. Each tile measures 1m × 1m and covers 1m².

  • 10mm: cardio equipment and lower-impact training.
  • 15mm: general home gyms and moderate dumbbell training.
  • 20mm: free-weight areas and general commercial gym use.
  • 30mm: heavier strength training and higher-impact areas.
  • 40mm: heavy-use gyms and demanding free-weight areas.

Thickness alone does not guarantee protection. The subfloor, load, drop height and frequency of use also matter. Check the product guidance or contact us about your setup.

Fitting Tiles and Choosing Connectors

Our rubber gym tiles have straight edges and are laid closely together. Choose the thickness for your training and subfloor, then plan any edges, corners and fitting accessories.

Optional tile connectors fit the connector-ready base on 20mm, 30mm and 40mm tiles. They are not suitable for 10mm or 15mm flooring. Connectors and edge accessories are sold separately.

Home, Garage and Commercial Gym Flooring

Plan your flooring around your training, room layout and existing subfloor. A clean, dry and level base helps the tiles sit closely together.

For a home, garage or commercial gym, check the product and installation guidance for your setup. Contact us if you need help choosing.
